In the Mixed Age Room, toddlers will experience wonderful social, physical and cognitive play designed to enhance and build their interaction skills, fine and gross motor skills, coordination, problem solving abilities, creativity, language skills, confidence, and self-help skills. Children will be surrounded by nurturing educators and new friends to share their experiences with.
Children are able to begin in M.A.R at 10 months of age. The program caters for these young children who require additional support while they learn how to move and interact in the environment. The dedicated educators engage with children one-on-one, in small group, and in large group activities.
By two years of age the children in M.A.R begin greater social interaction, communication and begin to develop self help skills, such as toilet training.
At three, children begin transitions into the Kindy Room in order to prepare them for the move into the next room.

In the Kindy Room, kindergarten and pre-prep children will be introduced to greater learning that challenges their abilities and broadens their understanding through art, literature, science, mathematics, physical education, community awareness, environmental awareness and gardening, music, cooking, role play, and culture.
The pre-prep children will also participate in the Kindergarten Program. The Kindergarten Program in a part of the Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Programs designed to prepare children for their entrance into Prep. Headstart uses planned teaching and supported learning experiences to help develop children's language, literacy and numeracy knowledge, social skills, emotional maturity, problem solving and thinking abilities, confidence, and self-awareness.
Children will develop their abilities and become prepared for Prep through a world of carefully planned and supported experiences. The children will participate in teacher-led and child-initiated activities through a range of play and real-life learning. All of this builds a child's interest and enthusiasm for learning and prepares them with all the skills requires to successfully enter Prep, and for their future.

The School Age Room caters for children in Prep through to Year 4 from both of Allora's local schools.
Headstart offers Before and After School Care, as well as Vacation Care. The S.A.C Room follows the My Time, Our Place guidelines and provides a variety of planned and spontaneous activities aimed at encouraging social interactions, community awareness, relaxation and leisure, and creativity.
Our qualified and experienced Educator drop the children to school and collect them again in the afternoon, prioritising safety. We also offer afternoon tea for the school age children each day.
